Things to Note About Dublin
If it’s your first time in Ireland, there are a few important things to note for your trip. The national currency is Euro in the Republic of Ireland and almost everywhere, including taxis accept cards. We don’t have Uber but there are apps like Free Now to pre-order taxis. The city is very walkable, but buses, trains and trams are relatively inexpensive and frequent. Dublin residents are often voted the friendliest in the world and will happily help if you need directions or advice. Like any major city, it’s recommended to have a route home planned if you’re returning late. Due to its northerly coastal location, Dublin is typically cool and humid year-round. An umbrella is always a good idea, even in Summer!
